Westmalle Dubbel pours deep amber-brown with a persistent creamy head. The nose offers roasted malt, raisin, and dark plum, while the 7% body is rich and full without ever feeling cloying. Subtle phenolic spice from the abbey yeast adds complexity throughout, and the finish is long and clean. A genuine benchmark dubbel that helped set the template for the style.
