With St. Bernardus Abt 12, you get the classic quadrupel treatment. It pours a dark brown with a thick, inviting head. Right off the aroma, you'll pick up on dried fruit, cherries, maybe a bit of caramel and bread too. The 10% ABV definitely brings warmth, but all those layers of malt and fruit flavors make this Belgian strong ale feel rich and welcoming.
