Tasting Notes

Full-bodied märzen at 5.8% with pronounced malt and caramel aromas. Fermented in open vats and lagered in flat tanks, available only September through December. You'll taste malty sweetness balanced with noticeable bitterness and high carbonation that keeps it from getting heavy. The copper color's more traditional than modern Oktoberfest beers, showing what märzen used to be before it got watered down. European Beer Star winner in 2019 that goes perfectly with roasts and fried chicken.
