Tasting Notes

Belgian strong dark ale at 9% ABV with roasted malt, spicy sansho pepper, and that same yuzu character as the Blanc. Deep ruby copper color, robust and heavy with caramel and toast notes. The sansho brings this peppery, almost numbing spice that's wild and totally unique. Won bronze at the International Brewing Awards, pairs amazingly with well-seasoned Japanese food. One of those beers that makes you rethink what beer can be.
